Silk strikes double ton in England
Tasmania batsman Jordan Silk has powered his way to an unbeaten double century in his first innings of the year on England soil, joining in an incredible opening partnership in Sussex on Friday.
Playing for the Duke of Norfolk XI against Oxford University at Arundel Castle Cricket Club, Silk scored an unbeaten 232 as he and Marcus Campopiano (119) put on 364 in 48 overs for the first wicket.
Their stand helped the Duke of Norfolk XI to 1-376, before the hosts restricted Oxford University to 6-306.

The match for the Duke of Norfolk XI is Silk’s first hit out since arriving in England, where he will spend the Australian winter playing for Cuckfield Cricket Club in the Sussex Premier League.
Asked what it was like batting with Silk, Campopiano told the Mid Sussex Times: "I can confirm he is an incredible player!"
In other England club action, Ben Abbott – brother of New South Wales and Sydney Sixers quick Sean – struck a club record 271 for Tring Park Cricket Club against Buckingham in the Home Counties Premier League.

His innings featured a remarkable 27 maximums. It was his second huge knock in as many weeks, after he scored 128 from 98 balls in Tring Park’s 222-run win over Long Marston the previous week.
Sean Abbott has also signed on to spend the English summer with Tring Park.
