Pakistan win toss, bat in Boxing Day Test

Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq has won the toss and elected to bat first in the second Commonwealth Bank Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. 

Australia lead the three-match series one-nil, after a 39-run victory in the series opener at the Gabba. 

Smith yesterday named an unchanged XI after some speculation that Blues batsman Nic Maddinson would lose his No.6 spot for Western Australia allrounder Hilton Cartwright, who was called into the squad last week.

Pakistan have made one change to the team that was bundled out for 142 in the first innings in Brisbane but responded valiantly in their second innings with the bat, make a record total of 450 for a fourth innings in a Test in Australia. 

Right-arm quick Sohail Khan comes back into the XI, replacing left-armer Rahat Ali.
